Jewelry Project: Beaded Bracelets

So I had seen lots of bracelets with this particular style in different shops, but they were always WAY too expensive! I decided to look online and find ideas for jewelry making, and these are the first two bracelets I've made so far ----------------------->
(Click photo to see bigger...)

I used black hemp cord ($1.50), some buttons (the kind that have the one loop to weave through in the back of them are the only ones that will work!), beading thread, black thread (top bracelet) and multicolored thread (bottom bracelet), very small threading needle, and various beads.

Here is the tutorial I watched to learn how to make ones like this;

They're super easy, and only took me about 10 minutes to make each of them.

Crochet Project: Penguin!

So today, I decided to be productive and crochet a penguin.

What I used;
Shimmery cream colored yarn, medium weight (4)
Black yarn, medium weight (4)
Coral/red colored yarn, medium weight (4)

Hook size: 5
Plastic yarn needle
2 medium black beads (about 9mm)
Regular sewing needle and black thread
Scissors

All of the yarns were Red Heart brand, which you can get almost anywhere, but the brand doesn't matter, the yarn just needs to be all the same size and general texture.

The pattern can be found here:

The download button is above the penguin picture to the right.

I have to say, I'm pretty proud.

<-----   This, is Twinkles. ^_^

Crochet Project: Chunky Infinity Scarf

Recently I started to crochet. I unraveled about 7 partial scarves before I finally got the hang of it, and then 4 yarn balls later, this little beauty was born....

I didn't have a clue what all the fancy abbreviations were in the patterns I found online, so I decided to go off a youtube tutorial. Most of them sucked but I found one good one, which was this one:

When you just start crocheting any tutorial is confusing but this one was the best visually. Next time I make a scarf I plan to make a video tutorial and try to explain & demonstrate in a way that would be easy to follow. I ain't no expert by any means, in fact I'm still a beginner, but I'm definitely enjoying crocheting and moving forward very quickly, so I thought I'd start sharing my own projects!
